Walid Al Saqqaf, Founder, Insureblocks

Walid Al Saqqaf is the founder of Insureblocks the leading podcast and educational / strategic advisory service to blockchain in the insurance industry and beyond. Walid started off in the corporate world at Barclays Corporate Banking in 1998. As a serial entrepreneur he has co-founded 5 start-ups of which one had a successful acquisition. His last corporate experience was as in-house entrepreneur and head of blockchain at the Lloyd’s specialist insurer, Beazley. Walid is also a proud father of 2 little amazing daughters.

Janet Comenos, Co-Founder & CEO, Spotted

Janet is the co-founder and CEO of Spotted, a research and analytics company that has been named the authority in talent analytics by the New York Times, CNN, CNBC, Forbes, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. Janet is a contributor to Adweek and Entrepreneur and is University of Pennsylvania graduate, where she was a research fellow.

 

Steven Rosenfeld, Partner, Havkins Rosenfeld Ritzert & Varriale, LLP

Steven H. Rosenfeld has provided counseling and representation to hospitality, sports, recreation and entertainment entities, producers and promoters of live entertainment, venue owners and operators, recreation facilities and others for over thirty years. He also works in the areas of risk management and loss prevention.

Steve provides counsel on and litigates matters arising from contingency insurance policies, including claims for non-appearance, promoter abandonment and event cancellation. He has significant experience in the entertainment and media liability as well as intellectual property arenas. He has provided counseling to insurers issuing entertainment and media related errors & omissions policies on underwriting practices.

 

Kate Browne, Senior Vice President, Claims Counsel, Swiss Re

Kate Browne is an attorney with more than twenty  five years’ experience in the insurance industry. She joined Swiss Re in 2004 where she is Senior Vice President, Claims Counsel and serves as Corporate Solutions informal futurist. Kate is the author of several white papers on emerging risks such as 3D printers, automated vehicles, commercial drones, and nanotechnology. She is a graduate of St John’s University School of Law and worked at AIG and Mendes & Mount prior to joining Swiss Re.  

 

Mike Harnett, President of Solaris Fatigue Management

Mike Harnett is President of Solaris Fatigue Management, a consulting firm that specializes in optimizing worker health, safety and performance.  She has over 25 years of experience consulting with various government agencies including NASA, the Canadian Standards Association, and Transportation Safety Boards in both the US and Canada. She has also worked extensively with the film and performing arts sector in Canada, and recently presented at the first North American Event Safety Conference, focusing on live events.

With a background in human factors and sleep neurobiology, Mike is recognized for her ability to take complex subjects and deliver their content in a simplified and innovative manner for all to understand. An award-winning speaker, she is known for her sense of humor and is an internationally sought-after presenter and educator.
